Chauffeur service in Napa Valley

A chauffeur is more than the driver of the car.

A Napa chauffeur is a routing decision, a wine-purchase logistician, a Bay Bridge timing expert, and the person who tells you which Carneros winery seats you faster on a Saturday afternoon. The good ones make a tasting day measurably better. The mediocre ones get you between points A and B without bumping the cooler.

We chauffeur Napa nearly every day. Our drivers know which gate at Domaine Carneros is the back gate (the one off Las Amigas Road that staff use). They know that Castello di Amorosa has limited parking and reservations matter. They know that Frog's Leap in Rutherford opens earlier than most Yountville wineries. They know that Schramsberg's tour ends at 4:00 PM sharp and the parking lot empties in three minutes. This is the kind of knowledge that turns a fine day into a smooth one.

Hourly pricing

How an hourly Napa chauffeur trip is priced.

The rate structure

Hourly chauffeur rates in Napa start with a four-hour minimum because the round-trip drive from Marin (our base) to Napa is 90 minutes plus, and a one-hour booking would not cover our costs.

Sedan: $95-$125/hr (4-hour min = $380).

SUV (Escalade or Navigator): $135-$175/hr (4-hour min = $540).

Stretch limousine: $175-$295/hr (4-hour min = $700).

Sprinter: $185-$225/hr (4-hour min = $740).

When hourly makes sense vs flat-rate

Hourly works for trips with undefined timing, multiple stops, or duration over four hours. The Napa wine tour day is hourly (or day-rate). Hotel-to-restaurant-and-back is hourly. Multi-stop tasting days are hourly.

Flat-rate works for trips with a defined start and end and no waiting: SFO to Napa hotel one-way. SF to Napa hotel one-way. Napa hotel to SFO. These are quoted point-to-point.

Most Napa clients book a flat-rate arrival, hourly for the wine-tour day, and flat-rate return to SFO. We can structure it however the trip flows.

Why same-chauffeur continuity matters in wine country

Tasting days compound when the chauffeur knows you.

By day two of a multi-day Napa stay, your chauffeur knows where you have been. He routes you to wineries with different varietal profiles instead of three more Cabernets. He knows you prefer a slower lunch on day two because day one was rushed. He has noticed which wines you bought and routes the cargo accordingly. He texts you at 8:45 AM with "the weather looks good for the open-air tasting at Hess Persson if you still want it" because he saw the forecast.

None of this is in a contract. None of it is a feature you pay extra for. It is what happens when the same person drives you across days instead of a new chauffeur every morning. We hold the same driver and same vehicle across multi-day Napa bookings as the default. You only get a different chauffeur if you specifically request it.
